Valentines Day Project: I Need YOUR help!

Hello readers!  I am planning a special project to be releaced on Valentines Day and I need your help to make it!

Here is the idea.  I want to me a True Love Waits “gift” video.

Valentines Day can be a difficult day for singles who are still waiting for God to bring that special someone into their lives, so, I wanted to make a video for them.  It will be a special tribute (if you will) to the people who we are waiting for God’s perfect choice and a message for singles this Valentines Day to keep waiting, to stay strong and keep trusting in God’s timing.

If you would like to participate in this project here is what I need you to do.

1. Write a short note to your future spouse.  Something short that can be read quickly.  If you could send that person a message, even though you don’t know who they are, what would it be?  Write out that message.

(EDIT)  Suggestion from another blogger:

Might I suggest that everyone writes one thing for their future spouse, that is original, and then writes another thing that’s the same… e.g. “I will wait for you,” and you could show those one after another… lilacandivy

2. Take a picture of the note.  You can be holding it, or not, it’s up to you.  Make sure you can actually read what it says too.

3. E-mail me the picture along with your name, age and where you are from.  E-mail is, writingforhisglory@gmail.com

(I originally thought of just asking girls to contribute, but guys are welcome to join in. :) )

There are two songs I’m thinking of using for the background music, but I can’t decide which one to use, so, I’ll let you all vote on it.

Song # 1

One Day by Trading Yesterday

A Thousand Year by Christina Perri

I was going to use One Day, then I heard A Thousand Years and fell in love with it.

Please comment if you want to participate and vote on you favorite song!

God bless!

I do believe I would like to participate.. And I vote “One Day” by Trading Yesterday.

Honestly, TLW is something I have struggled with. Recently I had a very open talk about it with my mom. And. That helped a lot.

Mom’s are awesome like that. :)

That’s one reason why I wanted to make the video, because it IS a struggle. I wanted this to be a way to say, “We are waiting, and it’s hard, but I believe you are worth it, whoever you are, so I will wait on God’s timing because I love you.” A way to remind us why we are waiting.

Thank God for Moms who listen when you open up your heart. It is so important and such a help when you are struggling.

I would love to participate! I don’t really know about the songs…neither one of them really hits home to me, if that makes sense. Might I suggest ‘Something Beautiful’ from the Newsboys? (I don’t listen to them anymore, but that song was always a favorite of mine. I’d still like to have it sung at my wedding :) ) When do I need get the note into you by?

I’ll have to listen to that song, see what I think. :) I need the note no later than Feb. 10th. That should give me enough time to put it all together.

I will participate! :D What a great idea. I love both of the songs… I’m going to vote for “One Day”, though.

    Just a suggestion. :)

Don’t know if you would consider another song possibility, but what about “While I’m Waiting” from Fireproof? Just a suggestion. Hope your project goes well!

Hello Mrs. Ulrich! Thank you for stopping by and commenting! :)

I did conciser using that song, but there’s a line in “One Day” that talks about waiting for love. I just it fit.

      Thank you!
